We are currently seeking a _Packer_ to load, unload and move finished materials within the scope of the assigned work site and by using the assigned equipment.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Reads work order and or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials required to complete assignment or containers to be moved.
Loads and unloads materials onto or from conveyors, pallets, racks and shelves by hand.
Stacks or assembles finished product onto required pallet utilizing appropriate pallet pattern.
Fills out and attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales or other containers.
Moves pallets from production area using manual or electric pallet jack or communicates request for forklift driver to do so.
Cleans work area, machines and equipment to assist machine operators.
Operates electric pallet jack or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
Responsible for sanitation and safety of work area in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices and Global Food Safety Initiative Standards.
Responsible for packing and palletizing for multiple lines.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and 1 - 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to operate an electric pallet jack
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. independently.
