Estimator/Project Manager

Responsibilities:
oAttend site walks.
oAttends pre-estimate meetings with project managers and business line management to plan bid strategy if necessary.
oPrepare detailed estimates in accordance with the scope of work, performing quantity take-offs, determining manpower, equipment requirements, material items and subcontractors if required.
oConducts bid review meeting with contractor and/or business line management to finalize bid, markup, and strategies.
oAssist in obtaining firm quotes for material suppliers, equipment and subcontractors.
oReview architectural and structural drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services, applying knowledge of specialized methodologies, techniques, principles, or processes.
oReviews data to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists.
oComputes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes, such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness.
oConsults with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.

Qualifications:
o5 plus years of experience in structural steel business.
oProficient in reading and interpreting various types of construction and fabrication drawings.
oExtensive knowledge of structural steel fabrication and construction.
oProfessional ability to work with and develop relationships with clients.
oProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
oFamiliar with StrumIS or equivalent steel management software is.
oExcellent communication and team building skills.
oDetail Oriented
oSelf motivated by nature
oProven managerial skills

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
oThorough knowledge of AISC practices.
oExtensive knowledge of welding and fabrication.
oKnowledge of project management software and intermediate computer skills.
oPersonal accountability to achieve goals and develops this accountability in others by giving candid and constructive feedback.
oTeam orientated
oStrong interpersonal communication skills.
oHigh level of self-management.
oStrong critical thinking skills.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
